How to Configure Email Clients (Outlook, etc.)

1.  Use the following settings to configure a POP3/IMAP email client such as Outlook, MAC mail, etc.  Substitute your own email address for "me@mydomain.com" and your own domain for "mydomain.com":

Mail Server Username: me@mydomain.com
Incoming Mail Server: mail.mydomain.com
Incoming Mail Server: (SSL) mail.mydomain.com
Outgoing Mail Server: mail.mydomain.com (server requires authentication) port 26
Outgoing Mail Server: (SSL) mail.mydomain.com (server requires authentication) port 465
Supported Incoming Mail Protocols: POP3, POP3S (SSL/TLS), IMAP, IMAPS (SSL/TLS)
Supported Outgoing Mail Protocols: SMTP, SMTPS (SSL/TLS)

* NOTE: Mac Mail IMAP Note: The "IMAP Path Prefix" needs to be set to INBOX otherwise Mail.app will not be able to store deleted, draft or sent mail on the server.

2.  Make sure to click the checkbox for "My server requires authentication" and use the same username and password as the incoming server for authentication.

3.  Some ISPs (Internet Service Providers) require their customers to use the ISP's email server for outgoing mail (smtp). If you continue to have trouble sending mail, check with your ISP, and get the outgoing settings from them if that is the case.
